This story is about a gardener who had no nose. One day these boys came to his beautiful garden. They wanted a bunch of flowers. One of the boys says hi to Mr. Lacknose. He thought to flatter the man and said a poem to him, "Cut, and cut, and cut again, Hair and whiskers grow amain: And your nose will grow like these: Give me a little posy, please!" The man thought it was rude and told the boy to leave and get flowers elsewhere. This repeated with the second boy, but again like the first time the gardener did not appreciate it and kicked out the second boy. Finally, the third boy went up to the gardener. Only this time be brought nothing but honesty. Because of his straightforwardness, the gardener likes him and cut a flower for him to have.
