Bibliography: Rouse. Giant Crab: The Wise Parrot and The Foolish Parrot

This story was about a man who owned two parrots who were really good at talking. He would have conversations with them and crack jokes even. The man also had a servant maid that would often steal. So one day the man needed to leave, but before leaving he perched his two parrots on each fist and asked them to watch the maid while he was gone and to let him know if she does anything thievish. While the man is away the maid comes in picking locks and sneaking around. Beaky, one of the parrots, sees and speaks to her. She bribes him with sugar and he shuts up. Meanwhile the other parrot Tweaky sees this, blinks and does nothing. The maid thinks nothing of Beaky other than that he is a stupid bird. When the man comes back, Tweaky is too ashamed to say anything. But Tweaky speaks and the man understands what had happened. He immediately when to up to the maid and kicked her out of his home.
